More on that last photo

For the second consecutive time at the int’l Japan-Seattle Suzuki institute, Jeremy is studying with a brilliant professor from Japan (the dude to the right with his hands in the air, yeah, 1.3 megapixels on my cameraphone you gotta use your imagination) whose english is about as good as my japanese, which is to say - none.  (Jeremy is the blob with his back facing me in the center of the frame.)

I remember the first class from a couple years ago like it was yesterday, because I’d just never seen someone teach a room of students with nothing but facial expressions, mime and music.  This time again he did not disappoint: he had the kids sword-fighting with their bows at one point; then a few minutes later they were all repeating the same three notes (three notes!) about 1,500,000,000 times - or so it felt - in a quest for the flicker of a smile on his face.

I have so much to learn.
